Journalists as members of the delegation

The EYOWF 2011 Organising Committee offers all NOC the opportunity to include a journalist specialising in youth sport in their delegations. The organisers will provide accreditation and accommodation in Liberec for the delegation will be in the Olympic Village area. A suitable location to house the necessary technical equipment will also be made available.  The journalists could provide information about the events and the progress of the 2011 Festival in the Liberec Region.

Accreditation for media representatives
 
Media representatives will be able to obtain accreditation for EYOWF 2011 through its web pages www.eyowf2011.cz, in the section labelled Media. Anyone interested will need to fill in a simple form and include a recent photo that will be used to issue the accreditation card. Notification about successful accreditation will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the application. Through their profile form, accredited people will then be able to communicate with the Organising Committee about their requirements regarding technical or organisational issues – e.g. accommodation and transportation or other services.

 
Reporters who will be accredited through the web page will receive their accreditation cards which will be ready for them in the Main Press Centre in the Tipsport Arena shortly after arriving in Liberec. Journalists who do not follow this process or who submit insufficient material will have to undergo the whole accreditation process in the main Accreditation Centre in the Olympic Village on the university campus in Liberec-Harcov.



Press centres

Main Press Centre
The main press 
centre of the EYOWF 2011 will be located in the Tipsport Arena in Liberec, situated not far from the city centre. It is a standard press centre equipped with the necessary technical facilities and which is regularly in operation during matches of the local ice hockey team Bílí Tygři Liberec as well as other notable international events and concerts, e.g. IIHF World Under 20 Championship, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, etc.
 
The primary task of the main press centre will be – apart from reporters’ accreditation and offering appr
opriate conditions for their work – providing basic reporting services, e.g. in the form of announcements about press conferences and other interesting events, start lists, rosters and results, providing previews before the start of each race, flash interviews, medal overviews, national standings, statistics, etc.
   
The main press centre will be operating from 12th to 19th February, every day from 8 am to 9 pm. Light refreshments such as coffee, tea, mineral water and snacks will be available.
 
Press sub-centre
 
During the EYOWF 2011, the press sub-centre will be located in block “M” in the campus of the Technical University of Liberec, in a part of town called Harcov. It will be part of the Olympic Village which will be created there.  The press sub-centre will be equipped with Wi-Fi connection.
 
In view of the fact that every day the Olympic Village will host medal ceremonies, the press sub-centre will take part in the organisation and hold press conferences with medal winners. It will also provide start lists and results, statistics, etc. There will also be a designated area (media zone), in which media representatives will be able to meet the athletes.

 

The press sub-centre will be operating from 12th to 19th February, every day from 8 am to 9 pm Light refreshments such as coffee, tea, mineral water and snacks will be available.


Media points
 
Media points will serve the reporters in each of the venues, including two in Liberec – Ještěd (one for Alpine disciplines and one for Ski Jumping), another in Vesec (Cross Country Skiing), in Jablonec nad Nisou in Břízky (Biathlon) and in Kořenov – Rejdice (Snowboarding).  The main press centre will be used for those disciplines taking place in the Tipsport arena (Ice Hockey and Figure Skating).
 
The media points will primarily provide pre-start services and results – distribute start lists and preliminary and final results.  There will also be a designated areas (media zone), in which media representatives will be able to meet the athletes.
 
Media points will be offering Wi-Fi connection.
 
The media points centre will be operating from 13th to 18th February, an hour before each race starts and an hour after its conclusion. Light refreshments such as coffee, tea, mineral water and snacks will be available.
