Last day of European Youth Olympics (EYOWF) 2011 in the Liberec Region was finished with mixed relays races of Alpine Skiing and Biathlon and with Parallel Giant slalom of nation mixed teams. The German Biathlete Laura Dahlmeier became the most successful participant at the EYOWF 2011 with three gold medals. The final competition of the Festival was Ice Hockey finale, the champions are from Russia.
Cross Country Skiing, 4 x 5 km - mixed relays: Fight of Notherners won Norwegians
In limited visibility has started the last race in the venue Vesec. There were 20 mixed relays, each consiting of two girls and two boys. This race brought the greatest joy for the Norwegian team. „Our win comes as no suprise, even though one mistake in the relay is enough to change everything. The whole team did an outstanding jo, awasome,“ Solas Havard Taugbol enthused.

Biathlon, 2 x 6 km a 2 x 7,5 km – mixed relays: Reign of the German team
The final Biathlon race of mixed relays in venue Břízky the German athletes swept to a clear victory. The relay consting of Julia Bartolmaes, Laura Dahlmeier, Roman Rees and Matthias Dorfer dominated the race from the very start and took the gold almost five minutes ahead of scond-placed Norway, with the French coming in third. „We fought as a team and we all performed well. It was a nice run. When you know you can bring gold back to your country, everything seems easy and you have so much power to spare,“ enthused the last man of the golden Germans, athlete Matthias Dorfer.

Alpine Skiing, Parallel Giant Slalom of Nation Teams: Last Alpine gold goes to Sweden
The last race at the venue Ještěd brought joy to the Swedish athletes, who won gold medals. They beat the Swiss in the finals, while the bronz was taken by the Italians. „I did not expect to win two medals at all, it is fantastic, I am having an awesome time in Liberec,“ Charlotta Saefvenberg said after the race.

Ice Hockey - Finale: Golden Russian Goal
The young Russians won the last competition at the EYOWF 2011 - the Ice Hockey tournament. In the final they beat Finland 2:1 after a very dramatic and closely balanced fight. Viacheslav Osnovin scored the Russian Golden goal in the 64th minute after a great solo run.
