Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou, and Rejdice – the location of the 10th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 – have passed the first rigorous international inspection.
At its meeting on 20th November, 2007, the Council of Liberec Region approved the intention of the Liberec Region to candidate for organiser of the IV. Winter Olympics for Children and Youth in 2010.
Between May 22nd and 24th, 2008, the 29th seminar of the Association of European Olympic Committees took place in the well-known Sorrento resort in Italy
On November 26th, 2007, the Liberec Region announced a competition for art school students to design the logo of the 10th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival Liberec 2011.
